Your busy season has no room for downtime

From January to June, a server that will not load or a login that stopped working costs you hours you cannot bill. Most IT companies treat your firm like any other office. They have never opened Caseware, and they do not understand why a locked file at nine at night in April is an emergency.

We built this IT support service for firms like yours, so the person who picks up already knows what you are working on and what it costs you to be stuck.

Everything your firm needs to stay running

One IT support provider for your help desk, your software, your files, and your security.

Help desk your staff can reach

Your team calls or emails us directly. Average response is about 15 minutes. You get senior technicians who already know how your firm is set up.

Support for the software you run on

Installs, updates, licensing, and the errors that show up at the worst moment. We work with the accounting and tax apps your firm uses every day.

Secure access to client files

Your staff can get to the right files from the office or from home. Clients can send documents to you without putting them in an email.

Backups that are actually tested

Daily backups with restores we test on a schedule. If a file gets deleted or locked up by ransomware, we put it back.

Microsoft 365 and email

Setup, migration, shared mailboxes, and the security settings that most firms never turn on. We also stop the spoofed emails that pretend to come from a partner.

Security that answers to your insurer

Multi factor login, managed antivirus, patching, and short staff training. When the renewal form asks what you have in place, you have a real answer.

We work around your calendar

Your year is not flat, so our schedule is not either. The bar shows how hard your firm is running. We plan the disruptive work for the quiet end of it.

  1. Sep to Dec

    Build

Upgrades, migrations, and hardware swaps happen now, while you still have room for them.

  2. Jan to Apr

    Freeze

Change freeze. Nothing gets updated that could break mid season, and we add help desk coverage.

  3. May to Jun

    Hold

Corporate year ends and late filers. Same coverage, same people.

  4. Jul to Aug

    Review

We go over what broke, what slowed your team down, and what to fix before next season.

Records, privacy, and the questions you get asked

You hold some of the most sensitive information your clients have. Here is how we help you look after it.

CRA record retention

The CRA expects most business records to be kept for six years. We set up backups and archives that meet that, and we can show you where every copy lives.

BC privacy law (PIPA)

PIPA sets rules for how you collect, store, and share personal information about clients and staff. Storing data on US servers is allowed. What the law asks is that you protect it and that you are clear with people about how it is used. We help you do both.

Cyber insurance renewals

Insurers now ask detailed questions about multi factor login, backups, patching, and training. We put those controls in place and we sit down and fill out the form with you.

Questions from your clients

When a client asks how you protect their financial information, we give you a plain written answer you can forward without editing.

This page explains how we set up your technology. It is not legal advice. For a ruling on your own obligations, talk to your lawyer or your professional body.

Three steps to get started

  1. 1

    Free assessment

We look at your setup, your software, and where your risks are. The assessment is free and it takes one visit.

  2. 2

    A written plan

In plain language: what is working, what is not, what it costs to fix, and what can wait.

  3. 3

    We take it over

Month to month. No onboarding fee. You can reach us the same day you start.

Questions we get from firms

Do you support QuickBooks, Sage, and Caseware?

Yes. We work with the desktop and cloud versions, and we handle installs, updates, licensing, and the errors that come up during a busy week. If your firm runs something less common, tell us on the first call and we will be straight with you about whether we know it.

Can you support us through tax season?

That is the point of how we work. We schedule upgrades and migrations for your slow months, we freeze changes from January through April, and managed clients have 24/7 support.

We are a two person bookkeeping practice. Are we too small?

No. Small practices are a good fit. You still hold sensitive client data, you still have a deadline you cannot miss, and you usually have nobody in house to call.

Do you work with firms outside Vancouver?

Yes. We cover the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley, from Vancouver out to Chilliwack, and we support remote staff anywhere in BC.

Are we allowed to store client data on US servers?

For a private sector firm in BC, yes. PIPA does not ban it. What PIPA asks is that you protect the information and that you tell people how you handle it. Public bodies have tighter rules, and some client contracts add their own. We will tell you where your firm actually stands.

How fast do you respond?

Our average response time is about 15 minutes. Managed clients can reach us 24/7.

Do we have to sign a long contract?

No. Our managed support is month to month and there is no onboarding fee.

Can you help with our cyber insurance questionnaire?

Yes. We go through the form with you, tell you which answers are already true, and put the missing pieces in place before you submit it.

Find out what your setup is missing

We look at your systems, your software, and your backups, then send you a written summary of what we found. The assessment is free. If you want us to fix what we find, we will quote you on it.

  • The gaps that would hurt most during tax season
